Fire Games
The expression “playing with fire” always reminds me of the song “Play with Fire” by the Rolling Stones: “Well you’ve got your diamonds, and you’ve got your pretty clothes, and the chauffeur drives your car, you let everybody know. But don’t play with me, ’cause you’re playing with fire.” I’m sure playing with Mick Jagger in the 1960s was playing with fire indeed – but who could resist him? The rock idol who had sung about sympathy for the devil was quite a handsome devil himself, and nothing short of a ladies’ man.
We’ve heard endless reports of flings with everyone from Brigitte Bardot to Tina Turner, and crazy backstage parties that would “make Caligula blush”. Sometimes playing with fire isn’t a very good idea (I had a friend who had to get a new bathroom after she took a bath with candles and forgot to blow them out). But for Mick – I certainly would. If only I had a chance!
