Women Are Rising In The Ranks In Baseball
Baseball is one of America’s favorite past-times where we leave behind our worldly worries for nine innings to enjoy a little friendly competition. We fiercely cheer on our favorite teams before we all unite as one for a round of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and finish off the game, but just because we aren’t thinking about the gender gap in sports doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

While there is no explicit ban on women in the MLB, they’ve primarily held office roles. It took until 2020 for the MLB to hire their first female general manager. Miami Marlins GM Kim Ng not only became the first female general manager; she is also the second Asian American GM with more than 30 years of baseball experience.
