Sew Aspirational
Feminism isn’t about hating men and drinking their tears for breakfast before inviting other women over to have a party where we denounce all things “feminine” as we burn every dress we can get our hands on. However, it involves questioning why we ascribe masculine and feminine characteristics to seemingly neutral activities.

Hand-embroider @Hanecdote feels the frustration of her passion for embroidery being viewed as lesser-than because someone long ago decided that weaving a needle and thread through fabric was somehow related to gender and too girly for men to do. We thank her for taking her frustration out on the Aida and giving us this masterpiece.
