Shani Dhanda Is Doing It For The Disabled
Shani Dhanda has a medical condition widely known as Brittle Bone Disease, which means it doesn’t take much to put her in a cast. In fact, she broke her legs a whopping 14 times by her mid-teens. Although the condition is part of her identity, she doesn’t live by the disabled label and instead chooses to make her life all about holding everyone accountable for inclusivity.

The British disability activist came up with the Diversability Card, which offers UK residents with health challenges special discounts to help reduce financial burdens. She also pitched in to help organize the first Asian Woman Festival to celebrate South Asian women and other genders needing more social support.
