Tulips, Not Tickets
You’re in your car performing your own personal concert, singing yourself into distraction as you wade through the evening traffic when you’re suddenly yanked back into reality by the flashing red and blue lights of a police car. You sweat a little and suddenly panic over the whereabouts of all your paperwork, cursing the possibility of an expensive ticket.

If you’re in Lithuania and it happens to be International Women’s Day, you can probably unclench those crossed fingers because you’re likely in for a pleasant surprise. Lithuanian police celebrate IWD by pulling women over and giving them tulips instead of tickets. It’s a beautiful gesture, but we’re left wondering if you still get tulips if you were speeding.
