I would if I could
The bride and groom’s parents play a pretty significant role at weddings. Not only are they there for support and to “give their children away,” but they are there to essentially be the poster children of successful marriages (even though half of the marriages end in divorce). Happy marriage or not, it’s nice to have parents around to share their stories.
In this situation, the bride’s parents kept it real and showed what marriage is really all about: mishaps and silly shenanigans that make wonderful stories with the years (after the initial anger and embarrassment are over). This groom stepping on the bride’s dress is something you’d see out of a sitcom!
