Chances are you were either ignored or scolded and reminded how to act, which is why we’re in awe of the grown adults who throw tantrums and expect it to result in getting their way. Perhaps their parents always gave them what they wanted.
Let’s think about how this would have played out had the manager given in. They would have had to leave the store without a manager to take care of any other Karens that walked in and demanded holes in their cheese, all California or rabbit foot-shaped chicken nuggets, or free meals because they waited more than thirty seconds for an order of ten items. That’s a no-go.
