How many people do you think take the time to clip coupons or scope them out online before heading to the cash register for some sweet savings? A recent survey showed that 89% of Americans use coupons, saving between $5.20 and $9.60 every week, so it’s safe to say we value our coupons in the US and expect to be able to use them.
But what do you do when your coupon is declined and you think you’ve been overcharged? There’s got to be a reasonable explanation, right? Our coupon clipping Karen learned her coupons were expired, but she still couldn’t let go. It is kind of embarrassing to be corrected, but when do you drop it, say “thank you,” then tuck your tail between your legs and leave?
