If you ask your parents and grandparents what some of their most valuable possessions are, it wouldn’t be surprising for one of them to be their photographs. When they were growing up, they didn’t have the luxury of constantly having a device on hand that can snap photos. The pictures of older generations that we’ve grown up seeing in our family’s photo albums only come in a limited amount of prints and are not digitally uploaded.

Photo taking used to be saved for the most special occasions in life such as weddings, family vacations, and graduations. The saying used to be “a picture is worth a thousand words”, but If you scroll through the pictures on your phone, you’ll come to find that many are insignificant. However, we may not know at the time that a photo we’re taking will share a special story someday, just like the photos shared here.
