Freddy Mercury
Freddy Mercury officially became a music legend when he reached stardom as the lead singer of one of the world’s most successful rock bands, “Queen.” Mercury stunned crowds with his phenomenal performances and dominating persona. A member of the LGBTQ community, Mercury, unfortunately, became a victim of HIV during the 1980s AIDS epidemic.

Mercury’s HIV eventually grew into AIDS, but he hid his illness from fans to avoid becoming mortal, although the last photo taken of him shortly before passing away in 1991 shows him humbly standing with his puppy, as many of us do. Mercury continued to focus on music and finally addressed his illness to the world closer to his death in order to raise awareness towards the virus.
