David Bowie is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, giving a voice to “outsiders” and creating music that was an inspiration to many successful artists in the industry. Bowie continued to smile and make music until he passed away in 2015 from an 18 month battle with liver cancer. 

The last known photograph of Bowie, where he is smiling and surrounded by adoring fans, was taken a few months prior to his death. He passed away two days after his 69th birthday and the release of his final album, Blackstar. The wildly talented Bowie released 25 albums during his beautiful life.
