Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix is known as one of the most iconic rock star legends of all time, inspiring many with his spectacular guitar performances, and creating a large fan base in the United States and Europe during his brief career. Like many rock stars, Hendrix’s life ended early after consuming sleeping pills and an abundance of alcohol, forcing him to asphyxiate on his vomit.

The last photo taken of Hendrix — before he joined the “27 Club” in 1970 — is iconic. He is sitting in beautiful, tranquil scenery with the love of his life and what he was known best for, his guitar. An inspiration to young and aspiring musicians, Hendrix’s death is truly tragic as he had so much important work left to accomplish.
