Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley is credited as one of the most important cultural icons of the 20th century. Presley is known to this day as “The King of Rock and Roll.” He entered the conservative music scene with a style influenced by African-American rock and roll and blues genres, and his gyrating hips made him a sex symbol of the 1950s and 60s.

Presley had a way of making women swoon for him and he absorbed the attention like a sponge. In the last known photo of him, he is seen driving in his car, waving to fans. Like many musicians, Presley succumbed to drinking and drug abuse, followed by a fatal heart attack in 1977 at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 42 years old.
