Christopher McCandless
American adventurer, Christopher McCandless, also known for his self-given nickname, Alexander Supertramp, explored the world living as an off-the-grid nomad and ventured off into the Alaskan wilderness. He kept a detailed journal of his experience, which became the inspiration for author Jon Krakauer’s non-fiction book, Into the Wild. The famous story was later made into a featured film.

Towards the end of his life, McCandless found an abandoned van that he used for shelter. The last photo taken of McCandless shows him living his best life, just the way he wanted to. He is proof that literally, anybody can make a significant impact on the world. McCandless died of starvation at the young age of 24.
