In the 1950s, James Dean was seen as a rebellious heartthrob and became the man that teenage boys aspired to be, and the one all of the teenage girls wanted to be seen with. He became an American dream team after starring in his breakthrough role, Rebel Without a Cause in 1955. 

Off-set, Dean had a rebellious side just like his character, Jim Stark. The daredevil had a passion for driving fast cars. The last picture taken of Dean shows him filling up his fancy car at a gas station. Moments later he would crash the car and suffer from fatal injuries.
