Whitney Houston reached stardom in the 1980s and 90s from her powerful and soulful vocals. She is regarded as one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 200 million records sold worldwide. Unfortunately, Houston also became famous for her drug abuse and a controversial relationship with Bobbi Brown. You may remember her most famous quote, “crack is whack.”

This is presumably the last photo taken of Houston. Even though her beauty still shines through, she looks pretty worn out. There is definitely a story behind this photo. Just days later, Houston was found unconscious and submerged in her bathtub in her Beverly Hills Hotel suite, with the cause of death ruled as accidental drowning with heart disease and cocaine use.
