John Lennon was the lead singer of the legendary British rock band, “The Beatles” and his death in New York City in 1980 was one of the most talked-about deaths of the 20th century. He is one of the most memorable and loved musicians by generations to this day.
Although any picture of one of the most famous men in the world would hold significance, this photo of the singer standing next to Mark David Chapman looks particularly average. However, this photo happens to share a very haunting story. It was taken outside his home, The Dakota, in New York City just hours before he was shot to death there by none other than Chapman himself.
