Buy a Soda, Get a Quarter Back
Vending machines are one of the most complicated pieces of modern technology. They’re designed specifically to separate coins based on size and weight with less than a 0.001% margin of error. However, with the high number of vending machines out there, there’s bound to be at least one slipup.
In this case, it’s a quarter jammed beneath the tab of a Dr. Pepper. Whatever happened here is anyone’s guess, but as this person pulled out their beverage of choice from the take-out port, they were surprised to find that that specific can of soda came with a 25-cent discount. Even though it’s just a quarter, the chances of this happening are slimmer than being eaten by a shark.
