The Sensor Excel Has a Secret
What do the Star Wars universe and the first razor of teen girls in the late 90s have in common? The Gillette Women’s Sensor Excel makes Jedi communication as smooth as our legs. The props department painted and modified a Women’s Sensor Excel to transform it into Qui-Gon Jinn’s Jedi Comlink in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
We don’t just miss this razor for it’s cool sci-fi side gig. Gilette gave the Women’s Sensor Excel a flat rounded appearance with a nice, grippy middle that make shaving a breeze. The color selection was also on point. Although you can still buy the cartridge refills, it will cost you around $40 on eBay if you want the handle.
