Kramer, we know, is an eccentric mainstay of the group. Kramer never appears to have a steady job, but he does have a number of wild ideas and potentially brilliant schemes that always fail. At one point he even manages to land a publishing deal for a coffee table book about coffee tables.

The book is picked up by Elaine’s publishing company and she even ends up being assigned to edit it for him, which she resents. She doesn’t see the point of a coffee table book about coffee tables, and we’re right there with her. While she hates his coffee book table idea, none of his friends ever really say anything or try to ground him and help him get a real job, but instead, they enable his erratic behavior.
