Arnold & Son
Arnold & Son have an interesting history. In 1764, watchmaker John Arnold began creating marine chronometers for ship captains at the time of the British Empire. In fact, Arnold & Son is the first watch brand on our list to be founded solely for marine workers. The company created several inventions including the smallest minute repeater ever, which was fitted into a ring for King Geroge III, and the overcoil balance spring, which is found in most modern timepieces.
