Leavenworth or Heavenworth?
If you visit this Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains in Central Washington during Christmas, you’ll think Leavenworth should actually be named “Heavenworth”. People love to visit Leavenworth to experience a slice of German culture by serving German food and beer in the restaurants along the Front Line. Leavenworth is also home to the Nutcracker Museum.
The Nutcracker is by far the most famous Christmas ballet of all time. At the Nutcracker Museum, you can view thousands of Nutcracker figurines, some of which are centuries years old. The village holds an annual Christmas Lighting Festival where you can find Santa Claus singing songs and handing out fruit.
