McAdenville Festivities
McAdenville, a small town in the Gaston County of North Carolina is one of the most festive cities in America during the Christmas season. In fact, the town takes the holiday so seriously that every December it is temporarily dubbed “Christmas Town USA”. This began 50 years ago thanks to the residential goodwill and the local textile mill owner.
An average of 600,000 people visit Christmas Town USA every year when the 450,000 shimmering lights are reinstalled amongst the 375 trees that line the downtown area of McAdenville. The first 1,000 visitors receive free kettle corn and hot chocolate. The town also has a big fountain that shoots colorful water jets 75 feet in the air
