German and French Cultures of Strasbourg
Strasbourg is a very unique city in France. It’s the capital of the Grand Est. region and the former seat of the European Parliament. Coming close to Germany’s border, the culture and architecture of Strasbourg combine French and German influences. But during the holidays, Christmas festivities are brought to eleven villages in Strasbourg
For example, try the mulled Alsatian wine and holiday Bredele biscuits in the Village of Bredele, while the Village of Alsace Farmhouse is where you can try the local prune and apricot foie gras flavors, mostly available around the holidays. Strasbourg will also welcome you with a skating rink outside the grand cathedral and a giant Christmas tree.
