The Old Neighborhood of Georgetown
Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States and the political hub of our country. The city is defined by iconic monuments and buildings that house the federal government’s three branches: the Capitol, White House, and Supreme Court. The city’s oldest neighborhood is Georgetown, which you’ll definitely want to check out around Christmas time.
Georgetown is filled with lights around the holiday season and the old neighborhood’s stores feature tons of Christmas decorations and creative displays in hopes to win the annual Holiday Window Competition. Don’t forget to visit the National Christmas Tree near the White House, as well as the Pathway of Peace.
