Some men feel obligated to teach women about subjects they are fundamentally untrained. However, being a woman means navigating a wide variety of physiological changes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Being a woman also means dealing with the social expectations that come with these changes.
Even though we are at a loss to understand why the man believed he knew more than the woman about the IUD and tampons, we are grateful that the woman took the time to educate him because, after all, she must be aware of what is going on in her own body.
