Okay, we have to admit, we are actually on the side of the Americans when it comes to this one. We get confused as well when British people speak about money in their own version of English. We have no idea what they are saying when they use words like ‘sterling’ and ‘quid’. 

We understand that is their currency and we respect it, but dollars are just so much more straightforward. When it comes to money and business, nobody beats out the Americans. Also petrol? Just say gas, we feel like that is a term that is widely used internationally, or maybe not, perhaps we are the ignorant ones here.
