#27: Friendship Preservers
Jerry and Elaine run through varying stages of their relationship, from romantic to platonic. The bulk of their romantic relationship is played out before the show even starts. Despite their fizzled connection, the two remain good friends and can support each other in new relationships. Their friendship is truly inspirational in that regard.

However, the reason they broke up in the first place remains one of the biggest plotholes of the show. We know they dated and broke up before the show starts, and from the moment we’re introduced to the characters, we know they remained friends after the breakup (which never really happens in real life). The question remains—if they’re such close friends and they get along so well, why did they break up in the first place?
