Sitting in their usual diner and talking to the group, he tells them he’s had a realization about his constant string of bad luck and bad decisions. Armed with that information, he makes yet another decision: doing the opposite of his instincts.

Going against every natural instinct he has, George finds the loophole in making his life better. Whatever he thinks he should do, he simply does the opposite of that and it works out for him. Of course, being George, he’s only successful for so long with this tactic. He gives it up in the next episode, although it works wonders! It almost works too well.
