#36: Can I Hug You?
There are many times when children feel like they have to please others at the expense of doing something they don’t want to do. And even though we all have to do certain things we don’t like sometimes, none of them should ever come at cost of our personal safety or feeling like we are forced into something.

Instead of making children hug, kiss, or even talk to someone they don’t want to, we should be asking them if it is ok for these things to happen. It might seem a little odd at first, but this is a simple way to ensure that kids can make up their own minds about a specific situation.
