Kindness is one thing. Kindness without asking for kudos or pointing it out is something entirely different. While I think it’s lovely that this kid went out of his way to get an extra lunch to take to school, I have a whole different type of respect for him for not tooting his own horn to his mom and sister.

The only thing that makes me sad is that his friend wouldn’t have had lunch otherwise. I hope they stay friends for a long time and help each other out as much as possible. I also hope mom is okay. It’s always scary when your parents are gone for a full week getting medical treatment.
