The health & wellness movement has supported the major decline in McDonald’s consumers. Although many millennials grew up with Ronald McDonald and his McNuggets — and were lovin’ it — the negative health factors are enough to stop them from making their way toward the popular food chain. Many millennials also viewed Super Size Me at least once as a child. That documentary can inspire anyone to never set foot in a McDonald’s again.

In an attempt to attract health-conscious customers, McDonald’s has added salads and a vegetarian burger to their menu, with little to no success in their sales. This fast-food brand can’t fool today’s millennials. They’re always going to choose fresher and healthier options than the infamous McDonald’s big mac.
