Millennials have been blamed by the restaurant industry for the decline in sales at casual dining restaurants like Applebee’s and TGI Friday’s. With funds being scarce for most in this generation, they are usually ordering take-out or sporadically treating themselves to a night of wining and dining at a nice restaurant. 

Millennials simply can’t afford to eat out on a regular basis with the money that they make and the financial responsibilities that they have. Therefore, for most millennials, dining out has become an event for celebrations. On these rare occassions, casual dining restaurants are going to be their last choice.
