Designer Clothing
Designer brands were all the rage in the early 2000s. Very popular shows that aired for millennials, like Gossip Girl, included a cast that exclusively wore designer brands. However, this had very little influence on what millennials wear now. Most of them show very little interest in brand name labels.

Millennials want to be more frugal in all areas of their lives, including fashion. Instead of putting an emphasis on the importance of designer brands, thrift shopping has become the “cool” way for them to buy clothing. Millennials also rather go to a clothing swap with their friends or a secondhand store. This age group is also a fan of fast fashion brands like Zara and H&M.
