Modern Family first aired on ABC in 2009, and from the very first episode, it took the entire country by storm. Jay Pritchett
To sum up Jay Pritchett in so many words, he’s a product of his time. From the pilot episode, we learn that he’s not completely comfortable with the idea of his son, Mitchell, dating another man, Cameron. However, as the series progresses, he learns to put aside his discomfort and show never-ending support to all of his kids.
Jay married Gloria and adopted his stepson, Manny, who doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Jay on numerous issues. Although they have their differences, Manny is a part of the Pritchett family, and Jay does his darned best to make sure the family is as tight-knit as possible.
