The best improvised monologue in Caddyshack
There are numerous actors who are known for their god-like improv skills, but there’s one that unanimously ranks top-five of all time: Bill Murray. If you remember in Caddyshack, he goes on a minute-long monologue while whacking the heck out of several poor flowers with a golf club.
Bill’s improv skills had really saved the director and screenwriters a lot of time since they didn’t have to do a thing. Harold Ramis simply told the actor to come up with his own lines, which he did absolutely perfectly in a boyish manner. And best of all, he did it in a single take.
