Imaginary Friend
It is hard to associate Nazis with comedy but Taika Waititi’s 2019 film, Jojo Rabbit is both unabashedly silly and thought-provoking at the same time. At the heart of it, we have the protagonist Jojo who is trying hard to fit in with his peers. He absolutely idolizes Hitler and regularly interacts with his imaginary friend, the Führer himself (played by Waititi).
In his mind, Hitler is an avid smoker and a meat eater as portrayed in the scene where he’s seen eating a roasted unicorn head. In real life, Hitler was neither a smoker nor a meat-eater showing how little Jojo actually knew about his idol.
