What’s With The Oranges?
In Francis Ford Coppola’s acclaimed Godfather Trilogy, a humble fruit seems to foreshadow death more than once or twice. If you haven’t noticed, this fruit is an orange. The Godfather gets shot when he’s buying oranges, Vito Corleone is seen slicing oranges before getting a heart attack, and right before the horse head shows up, we see an orange at the table where Jack Woltz and Tom Hagen eat dinner.
We’re not sure why the filmmakers chose an orange but maybe it’s time to cut down on our morning dose of OJ!
