Elda Castle in New York
In the 1920s, David Thomas Abercrombie built the Elda Castle on 50 acres of wooded grounds in New York. This castle was erected by Lucy and David Thomas Abercrombie, co-founders of the clothing business. We’re confident that the previous inhabitants of the Elda Castle appreciated their solitude.
So, where did the mansion go? It went for sale for $3.2 million in 2017. Even though Abercrombie & Fitch continues to make billions every year, shouldn’t the Abercrombie family still own this house since they bought it nearly 50 years ago? The family has allowed Mother Nature to take over in recent years.
