J-Lo warned Madonna not to ‘spit on her craft’ – and paid for it
You’d best not miss when you come for the Queen of Pop. That’s precisely what J-Lo did in 1998 when she aired her true feelings about Madonna to the world. While she acknowledged being a “good performer,” she refused to accept herself as an excellent actress.

“This is what I do,” she claimed, cautioning, “Don’t spit on my profession.” In his book Life with My Sister Madonna, Christopher Ciccone described how this backfired. At Donatella Versace’s New Year’s Eve bash, a remark was made – “J-Lo has arrived. And we’re not talking to her.”
