David Fincher called Ben ‘unprofessional’ over a baseball cap
Ben Affleck’s movies have earned rave reviews, but the men directing him haven’t always been kind. Gone Girl became a blockbuster success in 2014, but David Fincher, the film’s director, was said to have disliked making it. Affleck’s character attempts to remain inconspicuous while wearing a baseball cap in one scene.
It was meant to be a Yankees cap, according to his character. On the other hand, Ben categorically refused and demanded a Red Sox cap instead. They eventually compromised on a Mets hat, although Fincher called the four-day delay while bargaining “completely unprofessional.”
