The pole vaulter missed her Olympic dream after a bad day when she barely cleared the bar at 13 feet 11 1/4 inches. She was more than capable of crossing it, but a bad day dashed her Olympic hopes. It was a tough loss for the athlete, especially because she’d been having such an excellent season. Allison, on the other hand, was resolved to look forward rather than back.
