Information may exist within a black hole
Scientists have long puzzled over what happens to information when it falls into a black hole. The laws of quantum mechanics tell us that information can never be truly destroyed, so where does it go? Some scientists believe that information can escape a black hole, while others think it behaves the same way as other matter.
However, Hawking clarified that information never actually falls into a black hole. It rather540; stays within the event horizon’s boundaries. So instead of being destroyed, it only gets distorted and remains on the surface of the black hole. The information might be released when radiation happens but probably incoherently with zero utility. This theory provides evidence that black holes are not eternal prisons like science once imagined them.
