A black hole collision created a bright flash of light
For the first time ever, in 2020, scientists studying gravitational waves discovered a black hole with an end streak of light. What caused this phenomenon? Two galactic behemoths collided- two crushed clouds of gas.
In other words, two large black holes hit each other and then emitted a bright light that looked like a tail. This event happened long ago in a galaxy that is far away from us–approximately 4.6 billion light-years, to be exact.
