There are three layers of a black hole
Although there is still much controversy surrounding black holes, scientists have discovered that they do, in fact, have a defined structure. A black hole consists of three parts: the singularity, the outer event horizon, and the inner event horizon. Each part plays an essential role in how the black hole functions and affects its surroundings.
At the center of a black hole is the singularity, where everything is compressed to an infinite amount due to extreme gravitational force. The outermost layer surrounding the singularity is called the ergosphere, which is not as gravitationally pull. If you were exploring black holes as an astronaut, you would want the event horizon, which lies in between these two layers and from which nothing can escape because of the immense gravitational force.
