Anisocoria
Anisocoria is a rare condition in which one of the pupils is larger than the other. You may be familiar with this problem from David Bowie, who has made it one of his many distinct characteristics. Bowie had both heterochromia and anisocoria, meaning his eyes were a different color, and his pupils were unequal in size.
Anisocoria, unlike heterochromia, is a relatively common problem that usually has no adverse consequences. In fact, twenty percent of the world’s population has anisocoria to some degree. While it might have a variety of causes, Bowie was proud of his oddity and connected it to a teenage accident.
