Star-Nosed Mole
The star-nosed mole is a unique creature that many people are unfamiliar with. Their unusual star-shaped nose, which has over 100,000 nerve fibers and is highly sensitive, earned them the name. They can rapidly detect prospective edible substances and consume them.
They are slimy and generally grow to the size of a hamster. Moles hail from the far north part of North America. Aside from their remarkable eating speed, they act like amphibians because they can easily breathe underwater. They generate air bubbles, attach them to surfaces, and then inhale the air stored within them into their lungs.
