Baby Gorilla and Baby Chimp
Here’s a rare shot of a gorilla and a chimpanzee playing together. We owe photographer Michael Poliza for this lovely picture. This is fascinating because adult gorillas are unable to co-exist with other species due to their territoriality and aggressive nature.
There is a lot of flexibility in the gorilla’s size, depending on the form. This particular gorilla may grow to be far more enormous than the chimpanzees, and it has the potential to do considerable damage. Chimps are somewhat cautious and smaller in stature, however. A mature male gorilla can reach a maximum weight of 453 pounds and can tower at 5.6 feet when standing upright. That is something that even a chimpanzee cannot accomplish.
