Lava Falling in the Hawaiian Jungle
Seeing the lava flowing so freely in Hawaii today may not be unusual. It’s incredible to witness lava coursing through the streets of Honolulu, Hawaii. Welcome to the jungle, which is home to Kilauea, an active volcano on one of Hawai’i’s lovely islands. The island in question has five other volcanoes but is the most violent.
Since its birth in 1898, the volcano has erupted 50 times. The Halema’uma’u is the volcano’s crater pit. It maintained a lava lake for ten years between 2008 and 2018 before it was destroyed. In April 2018, the last eruption occurred. The two neighboring communities were decimated, leaving nothing to recover.
