It’s a Fact
That isn’t what I would have said at first, but now that it’s on my head, I can’t get it out. There are 58 countries (give or take a few) that celebrate their Independence Days as a result of regaining the “reigns” from the United Kingdom. France is also to blame for a number of them.
Some are not known as Independence Day. On the other hand, Australia decided to name something spectacular and patriotic: Australia Day! The United Kingdom also has one, though I’m not sure what they celebrate. It’s called British National Day and was a little late to the party. In 1984, it began. They were probably envious of all those countries that won their independence and had a celebration.
